The 1938 building, located next to the NAB Bank on the northern end of Giblett St is one of the more splendid buildings in Manjimup. It's classic art deco features included recessed horizontal banding, rounded corners and an interesting badge. The building probably fits more into the 'streamline moderne' cateogry due to its uncomplicated form, rather than highly detailed features, but I find it really beautiful in its simplicity.

I went through quite a lot of work on this one, as I wanted to get it right! Being such a good example of Art Deco in Manjimup, the pressure was on. It was a great opportunity to use colour to highlight the features.
The client wanted simple neutrals with a pop of red to compliment the red used in their branding.

This is the scheme that we went with in the end - what do you think?
